DESCRIPTION:The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025 brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth\, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists\, especially early career researchers\, can present their work and discuss ideas with experts from the geoscience spectrum. The event will be held in Vienna\, Austria\, both on-site and virtually\, from April 27 – May 2\, 2025 at the Austria Center Vienna. \nRegistration is open on the EGU25 website and is available until 31 March 2025\, 13:00 CET. \nThe Programme Sessions will become available on 14 March 2025 and could be found here.

This year’s discussions will focus on core topics such as sustainable blue economy\, fisheries science\, ocean restoration\, blue investments\, and stakeholder engagement\, with a particular emphasis on youth participation. \nThe gathering fosters collaboration across diverse maritime sectors\, providing a platform to exchange ideas\, address challenges\, and explore innovative solutions for sustainable ocean management. The European Ocean Days also offers a great opportunity to engage with key stakeholders shaping EU ocean policies – the 2025 edition will contribute to the development of the European Ocean Pact\, a comprehensive EU framework for future ocean governance.
